... ok. So the kings didn't play so great last night. There was no hustle... there was no aggression.. shit there was no proper scoring by us done in the entire first half.. disappointed? only slightly.. few factors we need to take in here...
FIRSTLY... this guy.. Luke Martin. He's injured right now but is quick as the PG... not only that but he's not afraid to bump with bigger dudes in the paint and will make an offense move. This was a factor that was missing last night.. TERRIBLY. We were relying too much on out imports for run and gun.. but because they were often marked up on the 45.. or marked tight on the block.. it was difficult to just walk the ball up and get it to them. Luke on the other hand moves the ball himself and is also an offensive threat with his speed... can let you're guard down... so when opponents play off him.. our offense changes immediately.. it spreads.. and we get to play how we want.
SECONDLY... this guy.. Rod Grizzard. 10 points? 10 POINTS? what the fuck bro? you hustled a bit and put the ONLY Kings dunk through.. but honestly.. he played nervous. No ball control.. average positioning on the block... and also.. when NZ would make a push.. he would get frustrated and occasionally throw in a cheap elbow. Tell you what Rod.. how about you meditate before a game so the nerves ease.. shiit have a beer. Thats what I do.
Also... what the hell are you smiling at in this pic? I seen you the other day at Urbanstar and you didn't crack one smile.. the hell? lighten up for the kids bro.
On a side note..
CJ Bruton... this is my boy. Imagine how he felt last night when he was knocking down 3's late in the 4th to clinch the game. Fuckin good I can tell you. He copped a few boo's last night from Kings fans.. so it woulda been satisfying beating the city he once called home. Although he's lost the legs.. he was still by far more aggressive than any of our guards.. and down the stretch showed why he is the veteran.. ending with 10 points when he sat half the game. Well played... however on behalf of Sydney... I don't care much for your antics CJ. hahahahahahaha! All good.. catch you next time you're here...
There were also plenty of people at the game...
Including myself, my wife n kids (you can just spot my daughter beside me), Samrai, Jono and roughly 8500 other people.. considering we used to get max 4000 end of last season.. we did ok. HOWEVER.. seeing as I can get $12 tickets (incl booking fee) you PEOPLE NO LONGER HAVE AN EXCUSE!
Let's get this bitch to capacity so we can win that next home game.
